Chennai Educational Tour : (Short Essay)

Educational Tours add value to us other than our normal curriculum. As a part of our Educational Tours organized this year, we went to Chennai. We visited the most amazing places in Chennai. The trip was both an educational one and enjoyable one. We went to Chennai for 2 days. We planned to visit the Fort St. George since we will be able to see historic monuments of St. Mary’s church and St. George museum. We also we went to the Connemarra Public Library which one of the Asias’s biggest libraries. We enjoyed seeing different animals in the Arignar Anna Zoological Park. It was a short trip where we visited Chennai’s important places and after we returned to school we were asked to make a presentation on what we learnt.

Chennai Educational Tour : (Brief Essay)

Educational Tours are very important to explore what we learn. Classroom learning alone will not help to understand the concepts and accept facts. Students get interested when they see in real what they have been seeing in books all these days. As an initiative to learn through educational tours, for the first time our head master organized a trip to Chennai.

Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu, is a hub for many industries. The Beach, historical architects in Mahaballipuram, Connemarra Public Library, Anna Zoological Park, Semmozhi Poonga, Crocodile Bank and the list goes. We extracted the best places to explore in Chennai and planned an elaborate educational tour for 5 days. Our teachers accompanied as guidance and support throughout the trip. We enjoyed Dakshina Chitra where we were able to learn our South Indian Culture through the replicas arranged in a small village out of the city.

The Amusing part of our tour was our visit to the Guindy National Park, Snake Park, Crocodile Bank and Arignar Anna Zoological Park. We had a thorough and lively study on various animals and snakes. It was a nice experience to get blended with nature while we were in these places. And one fine evening, we spent time in the Birla Planetarium which is located very close to Anna University in Chennai. We enjoyed the Audio – visual Programs on Astronomy and exhibits related to Astronomy. The tour was an eye opener on many concepts of Science and History and we ended the tour by a final recreation in the MGM Dizzee World.
