Coordinating Conjunctions

Coordinating conjunctions are important in English grammar because they connect two independent clauses, two adjectives, or two nouns. Without a coordinating conjunction, these items would be considered separate and the meaning of the sentence could be unclear.

Some examples of coordinating conjunctions include: and, but, for, nor, yet,
