What is an URL?

Last Updated on June 22, 2022

An URL is a Uniform Resource Locator and is used to specify the location of a resource on the internet. URLs are commonly used to point to web pages, but can also be used to point to other resources, such as files or images.

For example, the URL “https://www.example.com” points to the web page located at “www.example.com”. The URL “https://www.example.com/images/logo.png” points to the image file “logo.png” located in the “images” directory on the “www.example.com”.
