This friendship essay talks about friendship and friends. Read and have fun.
True Friends: What They Mean to Us
Did you ever notice that most of the animals and people like to live together, and not alone? Just like birds fly in flocks and fish swim in schools, we humans need friends too! That’s because friendship is when we care about others and they care about us back.
What Makes a Good Friend?
A good friend is someone who is kind and caring to others. They share your happy moments and stay with you during sad times too. When you’re in trouble, they’ll be there to help you out. Good friends always tell the truth and make you feel good about yourself.
Three Kinds of Friends
- True Friends (Best Kind!)
These are the most special friends. They understand you deeply and stay with you through good times and bad times. True friends help you become a better person. The nice thing about true friends is that you grow closer and closer as time goes by, just like a family. - Play Friends
These are friends who only hang out with you for fun. They might act nice when they see you, but they don’t really care deeply about you. Play friends are okay to have, but they aren’t as close as true friends. - Fake Friends (Be Careful!)
These aren’t real friends at all. Fake friends might lie to you or hurt your feelings. They only pretend to be nice, and they don’t stay friends for very long. It’s best to stay away from people who act like this.
How to Choose Good Friends
Before making someone your friend, take time to get to know them first. Watch how they treat other people. Notice if they tell the truth or tell lies. Pay attention to whether they are kind to others or mean. This will help you pick good friends.
Being a Good Friend
Don’t stop being friends just because of small problems. Try to help your friends become better people when they make mistakes. Remember that nobody is perfect – everyone does wrong things sometimes. The important thing is to stay loyal to your true friends.
Think about it this way: just like rice has a hull and water has bubbles, friends might have some small faults. But true friendship is special and worth keeping! We can learn more about being good friends by reading stories about great friendships.
Remember: One true friend who really cares about you is worth more than having lots of fake friends who don’t really care!
