Thiruvananthapuram  Educational Tour : (Brief Essay)

In our classes, we have learnt a lot about Kerala – The God’s Own Country. As a part of our Educational Tour Programs conducted every year, we planned to explore the capital state of Kerala – Thiruvananthapuram. We planned a tour for 4 days which included as the important spots in Thiruvananthapuram.

As the beginning of the tour, we visited the Padmanabhaswamy Temple and also learnt the history of the the temple and its architecture. We then visited the Vizhinjam Rock Cut Cave which was an epic. The sculpture, rock carvings and the beauty of the Rock Cut Cave Temple is simply admirable. We also visited a Marine Aquarium that is located near to this temple, the colorful fishes and the silence of the place made us  enjoy the moments and we took a lot of photos with Ornamental Fishes.

Once we finished our first day, we took rest and planned our next day visit to Priyadharshini Space Planetarium. The Planetarium was full of Astronomical information. The shows, special events and presentations we attended in the planetarium was simply informative. We went to Kovalam Beach the same evening and enjoyed a lot there.

The next day we visited Neyyar Dam and Wildlife Sanctuary. We were explained on how a dam works and the construction of the dam was stunning.  Then, we visited the Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary is well laid out that includes the deer safari parks, crocodile and lion farms. We watched the animals blended with nature from a watchtower in the region. We made the day a fulfilling one through a guided trek, safari and elephant ride. The last day we went to Ponmudi, a peaceful hill station spent our day there and visited a deer park in the same hill station.
