Letter writing is an art. Below is a letter from a parent requesting the school authority to give leave for their child to attend the visa procedure.

This is to inform you that my son, _____, is studying class VII in your school. He has been selected for an international tournament in Martial Arts for which he will have to leave for Singapore in the November month. Meanwhile, we had been applying for the visa procedure and now my son needs to attend the visa interview on (date) at Chennai. So, I request you to grant him leave for three days (from ___ to ____) only.

P.S. I've also enclosed a copy of the visa letter for your reference.
